December
25 |
The last two juvenile from the
September 29 litter started eating today (a real Christmas meal..). I didn´t
worry to much that they didn´t eat over the last three months because
they´re relative large.
The beautiful red one bought on the Snakeday turned out to be a problemfree eater. Two out of six from the October
25 litter did eat.

November
24 |
I bought a breeding couple Morelia
Bredli from Frank.
Beautiful animals! |
|
November
13 |
Both females started eating again
after delivery;
Female 03.09 after 30 - and female 4.10 after 20 days. |
|
October
31 |
I allways make pictures of all
juvenile. This is an easy way to monitor the colour change after several
sheddings. This one (born on October 25) suffered a lot of stress during
the photosession. He turned on his back and showed his belly. This behaviour
is described by several species but I never heard of Corallus using this
defence strategy..

October
25 |
Female 04.10 produced offspring
today. The score is:
6 juvenile and 9 dead. The juvenile are relatively large and divers in colour. The dead animals all have their colour and markings so they must have died over the last days. One of the juvenile shed his skin immediately after being born. Remarkeble, I never saw this before... |

October
19 |
I´m working on my terraria.
For that reason I did put my oldest couple Morelia viridis together for
a short period of time with immediate mating as a result.
I saw matings on 12, 16 and 18 October. |
|
October
11 |
I sold an adult male (03.13) on
the international Snakeday in Houten. He did produce several litters and
I kept some offspring for future breeding programs.
|
I found a beautiful red juvenile
on sale on the Snakeday. This little one is only 2,5 weeks old and probably
a female. I decided to buy her although she didn´t eat yet.
|
September
30 |
Pregnant female 04.10 refused food again. She had here last meal on August 9. Promising behaviour..
September
29 |
Female 03.09 did give birth to nine relative large juvenile today. They´re all yellow with orange saddles. What a site to see.. beautiful animals reacting very alert! |
|
September
04 |
Pregnant female 04.10 stopt eating. She had her last meal on August 10. Over the last weeks I find het a lot on top of the heating bulb. Looking at her size I expect a large litter. |
|
July
23 |
Both females are pregnant. Their
colour changed over the last weeks to a darker red and their belly grew
over the months.
Opposite you see female 04.10. She
remains a regular eater. Normally she eats 6-8 weeks old rats, but during
pregnancy I offer here rats of 3-4 weeks old. These are accepted without
hesitation.

|
July
23 |
This is female 03.09. In contrast
with the pregnant female 04.10 she doesn't eat much during here pregnancy.
She ate two rats (three week old) since Februari 10. I don't find her on
the hot spot as much as the other female.
This female did give birth two a litter in 2007 after a pregnancy of ten months. (see logbook 2007). |

The photo show Corallus
07.04.
I bought this animal, just a few weeks old, on the Snakeday 2007. It was
a poor eater over the first year, but the eating improved over the last
few months. Consequence of this poor eating is that the animal has the
size of a nine months old Corallus.
Very young animals sometimes show
the typical balling posture (better known from Python regius). I
never saw a two year old animal show this behaviour.

March

Both couples are seperated again tonight. After Id did put together two and a half week ago just a few matings were seen.
February

I did put both couples together again tonight
February
15 |
Over the las week I saw both couples mate five times. The last two days they don't show any interrest. I decided to seperate them for a week. |
|
February
08 |
I introduced the males numbers 15 and 20 to the ladies. Both did mate within a few hours.
January

This year I'll try to breed with
two couples.
See under " breeding" for the details. |
